As I wandered through the sandstorm, I stumbled upon a dune that looked like a horizon of another planet. However, with the sun just beginning to set, the lighting wasn’t yet quite what I had envisioned. The wind, too, had to cooperate so the sand would stay defined and not be blown away. I stood at that specific spot for at least 30 minutes in the middle of the storm, with sand blowing horizontally, exfoliating my face and eyes, waiting for the exact moment when the sun and wind were in perfect synergy. As the wind died down for just a brief second, I snapped away and couldn’t have been happier with what I had just captured. There is always a golden lining in every situation.
