Description

Dance of Love #5 Collection: Dance of Love – Valentine’s Day Artist: Mustafa AYDIN Edition: 14/14 Jpeg Size: 2274 * 2274 px The collisions in daily life are scary. On the other hand, galaxies collide in a very aesthetic way, just like “Vals” which will last for billions of years. These two galaxies are on a galactic collision that resembles a heart hence love. Scientists estimate that most galaxies probably undergo at least one significant collision in their lifetimes. These two galaxies NGC 4038 and NGC 4039 will eventually merge into one single giant galaxy. They are at a distance of 45-65 million light-years from Earth. When this photo was captured the photons traveled 45-65 million years before being captured by the telescope and the sensor. Image Credit: Mustafa AYDIN / Telescope Live
