#30 "The eye of Maly Semyachik" The water of the crater lake of the stratovolcano Maly Semyachik, in the Kamchatka peninsula, has a very unusual crazy color because of the several types of acids contained in it that make it extremely poisonous. I took this picture from the helicopter to the Geyser valley. I visited the abyss of Earth in the Kamchatka peninsula in 2019. This collection includes volcanic landscapes of the territory in Far East Russia, seen from above, or closer, sometimes in contrast with the green nature of our Planet. In Kamchatka there is a continuous contrast with life and death, destruction. When I ventured in those pristine landscapes, together with two local guides, I lived an adventure in contact with nature, hundreds of miles from mankind, without internet or data connection. A journey which will live forever in my heart, especially for the sense of freedom I felt in front of those sceneries. This project was awarded as overall winner in MIFA awards 2020 and some of these collectible photos won several awards around the World, like International Landscape Photographer of the Year.
