Sacred Geometry

Collection

Untitled Collection #252906009

Description

The belief that a god created the universe according to a geometric plan has ancient origins. For this reason, a sacred value has been attributed to geometrical patterns in all religions. These sacred beliefs have led to the creation of excellent architecture and motifs in many parts of the world. With the interaction of cultures, the aesthetics of geometry in architecture has spread all over the world. This historical accumulation is also a reference to today's modern architecture. In this photo, we see the sacred patterns of a mosque built in the 2000s in Istanbul, together with the religious officer in charge of that mosque. The geometrical patterns on the wall of this mosque were cleared of the noise around them and photographed with a symmetrical frame.
