Description

This is a baby King Penguin chick from my expedition to Antarctica in 2020, and was featured by BBC Earth in 2021. Coming onto Twitter has been one of the best and most terrifying decisions of my life. Unlike selling everything to go travel on my own, web3 was foreign and difficult for me to understand at first. I felt too small. I didn’t have enough photos worthy of being sold. So many mountains I felt I needed to climb before I was “Ready”. In reflection of my photography journey and how that has led to NFTs, I have a few thoughts to people who were just like me a couple months ago. Paralyzed by self doubt and second guessing. I know there are folks out there who feel small - too small to take a big step. But you always have a choice. You can choose to stay in your comfort zone or you can choose to face the things that scare you, the things that hold you back. So many doors are going to unlock for you when you realize you can't choose both. The only way to move forward, to live your life all in, to feel better in your own skin, is to get uncomfortable. Go out and face the world, as big and scary as it seems. Show everyone, including yourself, that you are not small. Show them you are bold, brave, and fierce. Like this fluffy King Penguin chick. Be unapologetically you.
