Mornings in Mojave

Collection

Untitled Collection #252906009

Description

A quiet moment as the day begins in the Mojave Desert. I had just packed up and was heading back to the car and as I was walking I was struck by the side light cast on the 2 dune peaks. As I continued to walk I noticed the mountains in the background also had 2 similar peaks. As I continued to walk the composition evolved with each step and when it got to this particular scene I had to take out the camera to capture it. It was particularly striking that the 2 peaks in the background were mirrored by the 2 mounds of sand dunes in front on opposite ends of the frame. It was one of my favorite images of the trip.
