Description

For so many years, Transamerica Pyramid was the tallest building in San Francisco. It defined the skyline...until Salesforce Tower was constructed. I had tried so many times to get an ideal drone shot of the former, but with little success. And then, all the factors seemed to line up – an ideal and safe location to fly, a friend who could also double as a visual observer, and an incredible sunset. I caught the light on this just in time. Given the angle, it was pointed out that this looked exactly like a rocket ship. It reminded me that this is why I gravitated toward aerial photography – I could create an entirely new perspective years on from when I first picked up a drone.
