Freedom-Loving Yılkı Horses #6

Collection

Untitled Collection #252906009

Description

The wild and freedom-loving Yılkı horses, which live in Hörmetçi Reeds on the outskirts of Erciyes and eastern gate of the Cappadocia region, create unique images while galloping on the snow. Cappadocia, as it is known now, is Persian for "Land of Beautiful Horses." These wild horses create a nice contrast with their dark colors on the white snow, especially in winter. The reflection of the snow falling off their feet while galloping quickly creates a visual feast. Photographers come from many countries of the world to photograph Yılkı horses, which create different beauties in every season. Horses are the most important means of transportation for the people living in Hörmetçi village. All the children living in the village learn to ride horses from a young age and show their skills on horseback to the photographers. The most important assistants of the shepherds who lead the Yılkı horses are the dogs whose number is 9-10.
