White Lines #12 - Walking Out The Shadows The Bankside Power Station closed its doors 40 years ago. It is now home to many great exhibitions. It’s the perfect setting to not only display, but also create fantastic art. The long windows in the former turbine hall let in amazing light at certain times of the year, sprawling fascinating lines of light across the floor making beautiful shadows in the hall. Sitting on The Thames opposite St Paul’s Cathedral, the building is in a prime position in London. Very industrial looking yet beautiful on the outside as well as the. The original building was designed by architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, who also worked on Battersea Power Station located a little further up river. This iconic building that was once the heart of an industrial city has now been repurposed for the modern age. Showcasing beautiful art, creating beautiful art and is in many ways art itself. White Lines is an ongoing photographic project by artist Tony Sellen. Using the light and shadows in this impressive building to create a collection of street photographs. Unique candid moments captured on camera as the lines of light shine into the dark industrial hall.
