Edition 1/1 Digital Photograph. 3000px X 2000px Location: Luang Phrabang, Laos. 2012 I ran into these two little girls at a Hmong New year celebration in Luang Phrabang, Laos. They were just adorable, if not a little shy, as they posed for the picture. The Hmong are a large ethnic group living in areas of Southern China and parts of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. They are usually subdivided into smaller groups, named for the color and patterns of the costume they wear, such as Black Hmong, White Hmong, Flower Hmong. The Soul2Soul Collection consists of 55 intimate portraits taken by photographer Hans Kemp over many decades of travel across Asia.
