The world drowns me bleak white You force the full spectrum of color down my throat all at once It's blinding It’s deafening It's intimidating It’s suffocating So, I hide The overwhelming amount of noise (News, social media, politics, negativity) sometimes causes me to shut down for months. I cloud myself in to disappear. I don't mean to. I need a break from the world. I try not to let myself get to this point anymore. Occasionally though, it still happens. I stop talking to friends, and family. Forgive me. I'm sorry. Chromesthesia colors inspired by Florence + The Machine, ”What the Water Gave Me”. Chromesthesia or sound-to-color synesthesia is a type of synesthesia in which sound involuntarily evokes an experience of color, shape, and movement. I see colors when I hear certain music, or sounds. I use this ability in my photography by altering certain colors to match what I see from listening to music.
