68 North #2 – Cracked

Collection

Untitled Collection #252906009

Description

The Lofoten Islands is known for its harsh climate but due to being located by the Gulfstream, temperatures rarely get too far beneath freezing. It’s the constant wind, clouds, and perspiration that make the climate harsh. Still, there are periods each winter when even the bigger lakes freeze. If you’re lucky, it happens more than once per winter. If you dare crawl your way onto the cracking ice, you might be rewarded with views like this.
