On even the most mundane of nights, we look up to the starry sky and wonder just exactly what's going on, and where we fit into all of this. It's beautiful in its own way, with the familiar constellations and the hazy glow of the Milky Way up there, comforting us with immensity and unknowable mystery. It's immense. It's universal. When the Aurora Borealis comes out to dance, however, I'd argue that it's a bit more intimate. Think about it. Our own planet and star have their own celestial marvel, flittering and waving in the sky above us! How cool is that!?
