Future Mythologies: Persephone

Collection

theVERSEverse V2

Description

Persephone navigates space carefully - never turning around - and finds beauty. Future Mythologies is a collaboration between Anne Spalter and Nathaniel Stern for theVERSEverse’s GenText series. It’s a series of 12 poems written in collaboration with text-based AIs, incorporated into videos produced with the help of text-to-image AI. Each explores a character from Greek mythology, with a sci-fi twist. Written and performed by Stern, sound and images by Spalter. @annespalter | https://annespalter.com/ @nathanielstern | https://nathanielstern.com/ @theVERSEverse | https://theverseverse.com/ *** Persephone Don’t turn around; just navigate Empty. Take a breath, forget how to breathe. Stare at the moon. Remember how to talk. Re-dash-member: embody again. The moon is a trick. It’s full of quiet. We’ll stay up late and watch the stars spin.
