Description

"Golden Embrace" is limited edition #1 from the "An Autumn in Alsace" Collection. Welcome to the vineyards of Alsace, a region in the East of France bordering Germany, with its own unique culture and history. When one thinks of Alsace, one imagines vibrant Christmas markets, mysterious castles, colorful half-timbered houses and cobbled streets that have sprung to life from a fairytale. Alsace is also a prosperous wine producing region and her lush green countryside is the stuff of dreams. For about 2 weeks in the month of October, her vineyards undergo a magical transformation: the foliage begins to turn a magnificent yellow-gold, and at the peak of their autumnal glory, the Alsatian vineyards are decked in the finest gold that mother nature has to offer. It is a unique sight witnessing these parallel streaks of gold across rolling hills, surrounding beautiful villages and roads. It is different to autumnal foliage that I often admire in forests and on mountains. It is a beautiful example of nature and man coexisting in blissful harmony, under autumn’s golden embrace.
