This photo was taken on a Summer morning not long after the trail was reopened after the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire. While the repaired Trail was rough, and the views were sobering, the vibrant green of regrowth along the trail, and the moisture laden area around the base of the falls reminded me that nature is stronger than we often give her credit for. And perhaps the strongest lesson is that there is no stopping nature. This is all part of the process and she will relentlessly rebuild herself on the other end of tragedy.
