Solitary Journeys

Description

Artist: Yulia Denisyuk Edition: 1/1 Collection: Solitary Journeys About the image: Morocco is a special place for me. At the Erg Chebbi dunes, I was brave enough to imagine that a different path was possible in my life. In Marrakech, I felt an incredible thirst for life and a burst of creativity. It is no coincidence that Marrakech, the Pink City, has attracted artists from all walks of life to its streets throughout the years. Walking around the Medina one hot afternoon, I turned my head and saw a man deep in conversation with… a friend? A partner? A lover? A distant relative? As shadows fell perfectly on the scene, I knew: this was the visual essence of the city. Location: Morocco Year: 2015 Image specs: 3848 x 5772 About the collection: Shot across eight countries in the span of six years, the “Solitary Journeys” collection blurs the lines between street photography, documentary photography, travel photography, and art. Every photograph represents a relationship between movement and stillness and explores the transience of human experience, showing moments that may have otherwise gone unnoticed in the hustle of our daily lives.
