Seeing these balloons, some only a small dot on the horizon, others looming large right next to me, has always made me feel a sense of childlike wonder. Driving towards a location shoot one early winter morning, I saw a group of balloons returning from their rides. I had to pull over by the side of the road, so magical was the scene with the patchwork of snow, the misty morning air, and the iconic fairy chimneys of Cappadocia barely visible in the distance.
