Artist: Yulia Denisyuk Edition: 6/6 Collection: Ticket To The World About the image: Chicago’s elevated train system – the “L” as it’s lovingly known – is a system of trains that converge on the Chicago Loop, the famous downtown area. It’s as much the fabric of the city as are the Wrigley Field or the Millenium Park. At any given moment, the racket of trains darting by the elevated lines reverberates through the streets. Browsing around Chicago on the first day of the year, I found the city completely deserted – except for the “L” and a lone commuter, who, like me, was making her way through this city of wind and metal.
