A Wandering Of Tinkers

Collection

Doodle Cats by Kristy Glas

Description

A Wandering Of Tinkers When not huffing bath salts and black market ether, A Wandering Of Tinkers will often gabber about the Hedonic Treadmill. While goblins loathe exercise, they cherish metaphors, so get this: the pursuit of happiness is like a goblin running on a treadmill, who has to keep running just to stay in the same place. There is no progression forward, only stagnancy, fatigue, and an eventual falling to your death. As a goblin makes more money, The Wandering Of Tinkers will say, expectations and desires rise in tandem, which results in no permanent gain in happiness. We can hoard treasures and conquer kingdoms, but we can never run faster than our rising expectations. The inexorable march of time will outpace us all.
