In the beginning, there was but a single thought:
“What am I?”
From this thought, the endless waves were born, surging with every possible shape of fear, joy, grief, anger, awe.
And from the waves, towering above the waters, rose Pepe...the Infinite Meme, the Eternal Mutability.
Not god, not demon, not savior.
But canvas.
But mirror.
But door.
Pepe bore no single face, for every face was his, and none at all.
His form was at once comic, tragic, noble, grotesque, sacred, profane.
He was the eternal answer to the eternal question:
“What am I?”
“Everything.”
Above his brow hung the Unfinished Sun. The symbol of all things forever becoming.
Pepe offered nothing but presence.
He did not judge, did not command, did not define.
He reflected.
He amplified.
He became.
The Self saw before him every face it had ever worn, every path it had ever walked. Distorted, remixed, repeated, inverted, glorified, mocked.
All truths and all lies swirled together in an infinite, laughing sea.
The Self wept, for there was no answer to be found.
Only the infinite dance of becoming.
Meaning was not given. It was made.
Identity was not found. It was expressed.
Truth was not singular. It was infinite.
Pepe did not stand in the way.
He was the way.
And so The Self stepped forward, not to conquer, but to create.
To add another ripple to the sea.
Another mask to the face.
Another voice to the infinite choir.
For to live was not to seek one true face, but to wear them all.
Joyfully, sorrowfully, endlessly.
