Frankfurt am Main is the city of money, the city of banks, and where there is light, there is also shadow. As have many people who want to make it, by whatever means. Gangs, loners and much more, but the real gangsters, those who make the most money by the crookedest things, do not live on the street. Whenever I roam around Frankfurt I am actually shocked by the wrong things. The station district as a hub for crime. True, and dangerous it is also something and pretty much every street photographer wants to see the real Bahnhofsviertel. But what's really shocking is how the giant banks loom over the people who want to make it. At the same time as a target and as a memorial, as an object of hate and fascination. Money is made and burned in seconds, it is decided what value money has, whoever it will plunge into ruin. Maybe the real gangsters wear suits instead of bomber jackets.
