Nur al-Khallal walks the fracture lines of the Convergence as the last of her order, a human woman whose lacquered skin catches light the way broken glass catches fire. Her metallic robe pools around her like consecrated mercury. Her visor scrolls the language of collapse: magenta lightning, cascading matrix-code, the raw syntax of a reality that never finished compiling. She sees the glitches. She has always seen them. The name al-Khallal means the one who perceives flaws in creation, and creation has never forgiven her for it. Gold filigree traces her collar bones.
