Description

Taimenta (Sun in Warpe language) 1920px x 1080px | 25fps Analog electronics, analog video glitch art. Original music, video, and found footage. Mastering: nebülar. Since late December 2024, the Sun has entered its peak activity phase, known as solar maximum, which occurs approximately every 11 years. This period has been marked by heightened solar activity, including intense geomagnetic storms impacting Earth's magnetosphere. Constructed from found footage of recent news events, exploring the intersection of solar activity and its coinciding natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and wildfires. With deep respect for the victims of these events, this work seeks to reflect on the fragility of our existence in the face of cosmic and terrestrial forces.
