Description

Yemaya's dance is passionate and slow, her body moves like the waves of the sea, at first gently and then agitated like a storm, shaking her blue robes with the fury of the winds. She begins to whirl like a whirlpool, and in one of her movements, the dance of the orisha of the waters, she imitates the oars of a boat. The dance of Yemaya, like the numerous exponents of Afro-Cuban dances, is an example of union and resistance to colonial pressure. This work has been minted for the event "LET'S VAMOS" organized by @drcc_art Celebrating Latin and Iberian Culture ........................................................................................................................................
