Peiyan’s mum has become a full-time mother since the diagnosis, learning about different knowledge in order to better care for and assist her daughter. https://matters.news/@puzzlecatmat 第三幅（創作於8/12/2021）主題：首個發自內心笑容的手繪作為母親角度的描述：這是一幅非常感動之作，因為是首幅珮妍手繪的開心笑圖畫，當時大概12歲～接近13歲。當時我們各自開始了在家自主生活大約2年；過去12年裡，珮妍只會要求我替她繪「不開心的圖案」，因為她沒有信心自己可以畫得好，所以一直要求我代筆繪出她的心情及想法。這幅作品中，我完全感受到她是發自內心的喜悅，而啟動她有信心地由自己去完成當時的心情或想表達的東西。在我心中，她每個線條都有意思。圖中所繪的眼睛～是「非常開心的笑眼」，圖中的笑容也似乎代表「不只是微笑」～因為嘴巴線條兩邊上方都各加了一條線，似乎代表很開心的笑容。另外最後她在最上方加上「皇冠」，可能代表了在她心中的什麼，大家可以猜一猜！這作品對作為她母親的我來說，意義深遠，因為她終於在12年的生命中感受到發自內心的喜悅，而且還能以一己之力去表達自己！ Date: 8th Dec 2021. Title: A smile from the heart, the first hand-drawn picture by Peiyan My understanding as her mum: This is a very touching drawing for me, as it was the first picture of a happy smile drawn by Peiyan when she was 12/13 years old. At that time, we had started home-staying of the two of us without care worker for two years. For the past 12 years, Peiyan had only asked me to draw her “unhappy pictures" for her. She didn’t have the confidence that she could draw well, so she kept asking me to draw for her to express her feelings and thoughts. This was the first piece that she had ever drawn by herself. In this piece, I can feel her heartfelt joy and the confidence she had to complete what she was feeling or wanting to express by herself. In my mind, every line is interesting. The eyes in the picture are 'very happy smiling eyes' and the smile in the picture seems to represent 'more than just a smile' ~ as there is a line added above each side of the mouth line, which seems to emphasise that was an extremely happy smile. She also added a 'crown' at the top, which might represent something in her heart, so please take a guess! This piece means a lot to me as her mother, because she finally felt the joy from her heart after 12 years of life and could express herself in her own way!
