Description

When we went on a short trip to catch it, we didn't even have a scrungy fabric to wear. When we tracked it down, we hid under the ground and sprang through a cloud of dust to scare it away. When we caught it, it tried to escape by punching and kicking our palms with its tiny arms and feet. When we squeezed it to death in our palms, it fought to the last drop of its blood to keep from dying. When we killed it, we saw its dark spirit leave its body through the mouth and ears.   As we tracked it down to capture its spirit, it then took us to cities, oceans, forests, mountains and caves we've never seen before. After we missed its spirit many times, we continued to follow the intoxicatingly beautiful delicious trail it left behind. When we finally snatched it up in a moldy crate, its exhausted emptiness was trembling. When we took it in our palms with the smell of its body again, it left itself to us as if it had found peace and waited impatiently for what we would do to it. June, 2023 by Demon Ego
