Description

floors & ceilings is a generative artwork exploring paradoxical architectures and illusive surfaces. Each iteration generates an impossible construction built from modular hexagonal tiles, folding into arrangements that suggest architectural logic while destabilizing it. Animated optical patterns, derived from custom-designed pixel matrices, flow across the structures, sometimes reinforcing spatial depth and at other times flattening it into pure illusion. The work resists resolution: what appears to be a floor may simultaneously function as a ceiling, echoing Escher’s paradox and Op Art’s shifting tricks. Every token presents a distinct puzzle, a fleeting geometry where perception itself becomes the material. This artwork is part of the SACRED CODE exhibition, Galerie Data, September 2025.
