Description

DYOR Do Your Own Research #4 in the Not Financial Advice series DYOR, right? It is sensible advice, but here in the Crypto world it is every crypto influencer's favorite no risk disclaimer. It's a simple "Cover Your Ass" blanket statement to absolve oneself of any blame should the trade go sideways. I'm putting all my Ethereum holdings into $BLAH coin. It's gonna moon. NFA, but don't FOMO. You must get in now, before it's too late. I don't want to see you get REKT. And oh yeah, DYOR. (lol and a wink, wink...) Sad but true, this happens every day in crypto. Just check your twitter feed, I'm sure there are countless shitfluencers pumping their bags all over it. My feed is full of them. Do yourself a favor and just keep scrolling. Maybe even hit block when you see this crap being peddled. When confronted about bad investing advice your favorite crypto influencer / pumper will respond: "Listen, you can't blame me even though I know I instructed you to put all your money into that coin / nft / stock, but i did say DYOR, right? riiiight? I even added NFA for good measure. " But seriously, DYOR. here's how: Read the white papers and make sure you understand the blockchains and their use cases before you even think about purchasing some tokens and coins. Listen to / read the blockchain creators podcasts, interviews and writings. Don't buy the hype and follow the "moonboys" on YouTube and twitter. They're not experts. They're just pumping their bags and looking at noobs like you to be their exit liquidity. And they are damn good at it too. There is a sucker born every minute and this space is fleecing all of them. Nft's. Research the artist's body of work. Do they have legacy and a reputation to uphold or is it a newcomer looking for a quick cash grab? Are they creating original works or just copy minting some derivative crap of the latest hot project. It's not going to age well; I can assure you of that. Again, don't allow yourself to be someone else's exit liquidity. Read, Read, Read...and read it again until you truly understand. You and only you are responsible to Educate yourself. Otherwise, it is the blind leading the blind. You are responsible for your own financial future. Good luck and DYOR. No, but seriously...DYOR 1500 x 1200 GIF file.
