Description

One A Day #266: Umami Umami: the taste sensation produced by several amino acids and nucleotides, characterized as savory. I first discovered this word when I worked in a kitchen. I’ve always loved savory things. There’s something deep about savory flavors. They remind me of fall, of warmth, of richness, and of the way life holds more beneath the surface than what first meets the eye. This reflection is part of my ongoing One a Day project, where I create a new abstract drawing and learn a new word every day.
