With all the stress and negativity we face every day, I wanted to produce a collection that would lift your mood and make you smile. And Burrowing Owls are the perfect animal to do it. And you'll also be supporting owl protection with every piece collected. Early in my photography journey I sharpened my skills capturing images of these tiny adorable creatures. They are happy, joyful birds who make everyone smile. Their magic worked on me during the weeks I spent laying in the dirt and grass, and by sharing these shots with you – I’m hoping they make you smile too. Burrowing Owls are a threatened species in Florida, so a portion of all sales from this collection will benefit the South Florida Audubon Society’s Project Perch, which keeps them safe. You’re Helping Save The Owls: A portion of all funds raised through this collection will support the South Florida Audubon Society’s “Project Perch”. The Florida burrowing owl is classified as “threatened” by the state wildlife commission. Since 2008, Project Perch has protected them by training “caretakers” who maintain perches, perimeter staking, roping and signage around burrows, build artificial burrows, count the owls, relocate owls burrowing in dangerous locations, and much more. They also involve local students in this work.
