The future people say they want, calmer, kinder, more livable, already exists in samples. Here's one. A woman resting in a room of an ancient castle, unhurried on some ordinary Saturday, no reason to move. Peace at full scale would mostly be this multiplied, millions of small unbothered pauses where thinking and healing and planning quietly get done. Hard to photograph, honestly, since the whole thing looks like nothing happening. Old floors stay cool till midafternoon and that coolness is part of it somehow, comfort nobody engineered. Samples like this run short. They end right before their value lands.
