<p><strong style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);">This piece is a tribute to Derek Jarman </strong><span style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);">who had become</span><strong style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);"> partially blind</strong><span style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);">, his vision often interrupted by </span><strong style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);">blue</strong><span style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);"> light.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(77, 81, 86);">Jarman </span><span style="color: rgb(95, 99, 104);">was</span><span style="color: rgb(77, 81, 86);"> losing his sight and dying of AIDS-related complications. Blue consists of a single shot of saturated blue color.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);">Disconnected or disconcerted, they weep as if they faded like teardrops in rain. It can’t be taken for granted the very reason of their agony and torn spirit as they always weep, this truth about them really can’t be taken literally. They are seeking a prototypical happy ending but they can’t reach it and they ultimately decide to stay in their own malcontent situation.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);"> </span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);">The </span><strong style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);">blind man</strong><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);"> collection is about how these people perceive the world without seeing any colors. These colors as you can see in the painting are demonstrative of the agonies that they have gone through. They have few friends who can share their happiness with them and they use this happiness so that they can forget their sorrows and this is sheer madness. these</span><span style="color: rgb(83, 100, 113);"> portraits are repleted with pain although happiness is distributed equally between them so that the blind suffering leads to redemption.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);"> </span></p><p><strong style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);">Do they live in purgatory or a forgotten world?</strong></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);">We sighted people think that what the blind sees is absolute blackness. It’s not everlasting darkness in front of them as many of us assume it’s just complete nothingness, to imagine what it feels like is the answer to this question <what can you see with your knee>?</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);">Blind people often describe it being in a cave in total darkness. They often have visual hallucinations or a brain glitch. They see different things in different countries. Everything they see is blurry and hazy describing it as really quick going from brown to turquoise with flecks of yellow or green in a matter of seconds. They can only distinguish between light and dark. Some of them with tunnel vision look at the world through narrow tubes. They dream with their other senses; they can sense odors, sounds, flavours, and feel things by touch.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(103, 103, 103);"> </span></p><p><br></p>
