Description
It was past midnight, and the fog clung thick to the deserted streets of Cedar Hollow. David walked in silence, his footsteps echoing faintly in the eerie stillness. The old streetlamps flickered weakly, casting long, jagged shadows across the cracked pavement. Something was off in the air, an unsettling tension that made his skin crawl.
As he reached the corner of Main Street, he saw her.
In the dim light of the flickering streetlamp stood a woman—no, something more terrifying than just a woman. She was unlike anything David had ever seen. Her fiery red hair was a mass of wild curls, cascading around her face and shoulders, giving her an almost ethereal, fiery appearance. She wore a short, tight red dress that clung to her figure, torn in places and revealing the pale green hue of her decaying skin. The strange, sickly green undertone seemed to shimmer faintly in the pale light, as though her body wasn’t entirely of this world.
But it was her eyes that held him. Glowing a soft, eerie light blue, they seemed almost to illuminate the night, piercing through the fog and locking onto him with a predatory intensity. Her lips, painted with the remnants of dark, blood-red lipstick, curled into a faint, menacing smile that made David’s heart skip a beat.
She stepped forward, her hips swaying in a way that was both seductive and unnerving, her heels clicking against the pavement. As she moved, David saw more of her decaying body—the greenish tint of her skin becoming more pronounced around her arms and legs, with deep gashes exposing the dark, rotting flesh beneath. Blood stained her dress and legs, dripping from her fingertips, but she moved with grace, like a predator luring in her prey.
David was frozen in place, his eyes glued to her almost glowing, otherworldly gaze. She was undeniably beautiful, but that beauty was twisted, rotten, and dangerous. Her red curls framed her face in a wild, chaotic halo, giving her an otherworldly charm even as the rot beneath the surface became more and more apparent.
As she approached, David could smell the stench of death—thick, overpowering, clinging to the damp air around her. Her smile widened, revealing broken, jagged teeth, stained with fresh blood. She moaned softly, a sound that sent chills racing down his spine, the hunger in her eyes growing more intense with each step.
David took a step back, but her glowing eyes never left his. She moved closer, her green-tinted skin glistening in the dim light, her long, bloodied fingers reaching out toward him. Her breath was shallow and ragged, her voice low and ghostly, as though she were trying to whisper his name through dead, decaying lungs.
The spell finally broke, and David ran. Her haunting presence lingered behind him, the sound of her heels and the soft, eerie moans following him through the fog. He dared not look back, knowing that the glowing blue eyes would be the last thing he saw if he did.
