Description

Her pupils, which looked so peaceful while eating dinner in the kitchen, began to dilate and tremble with the ringing of the bell. She panicked and dropped the spoon in her right hand, and the image of the door opening would soon be reflected on the outer surface of the spoon sticking to the carpet on the floor. She waited, hoping the bell ringer would come to the door, call out, and be able to recognize it by its voice. She had a few guesses as to who was coming, the odds were slim since no one had knocked on her door for a long time anyway. Either they don’t see each other anymore because she don’t call their friends, or they didn't knock on her door because her family was always waiting for her to call and visit. She felt happy in this solitude she had chosen, what else could have happened to her other than the occasional anxiety attacks, days of deep depression, and eating disorders? She was looking at the people outside from her balcony, estimating their conversations and their daily problems and happiness. Thus, she created serials in which she directed people in her own fiction. She heard footsteps approaching the door, and waited a little longer. The downstairs neighbor's door swung open loudly again, and the thing who had probably come to her house and her downstairs neighbor met at the door. After staring at each other for a few seconds, they greeted each other and continued on their way. The sound of footsteps toward her door drew nearer, leaving only a few steps of a flight of stairs in between. Thanks to the elevator, which had been down for a while, she could guess the weight of the thing with the footsteps coming towards her door. They were the sounds of a heavy body, slow steps. It had flat feet that rubbed against the ground enough to lift a lot of dust off the ground. They must have had at least 45-46 feet, and they were bare, because the sounds on the floor sounded like bones. She opened the door and tried to look into the face of the thing outside, but no matter how high she lifted her head, she couldn't see its face. She just saw a wet neck touching the ceiling and a head tilted back. She opened the door all the way, the sunlight hitting the hall illuminated the front of her outer door...
