Description

‘Octopus Mirage #04’ includes a framed physical print on 100% cotton fine art paper, 40x60cm. The ‘Octopus Mirage’ series is an expression of my ongoing fascination with the octopus as a recurring motif. This enigmatic creature has held a significant place in the myths and legends of diverse cultures, often serving as a symbol of rebirth or a connection to the spirit world. Throughout history, the octopus has also embodied the essence of female empowerment. These images are part of a long term project developed in collaboration with different AI tools since 2023. I use a series of drawings made with my (then 3 year old) daughter as departure. The resulting compositions are teeming with hybrid entities - part human, part octopus, and at times, part plant - where skin, limbs, and organs coalesce in a provocative dance of forms that defy conformity and embrace disruption. The female body is expanded and “queered” through AI. ______ ‘Octopus Mirage #04’ includes a physical print on 100% cotton fine art paper, 40x60cm. The NFT is the certificate of authenticity of this artwork that comes in an edition of 10. The collector of the NFT should claim the physical print by getting in touch with me via X or my website, and cover shipping/eventual taxes. If instead the physical print is collected first, the NFT will be airdropped to the collector. If the NFT is resold, the seller commits to ship the physical piece to the new collector. Exhibitions: My1st, Galerie Charlot, Paris, July 9-30 2026. Limited Edition Art Fair, Villa Empain / Boghossian Foundation, Brussels, March 2024.
