I still remember my first street capture where a little boy was standing still beside his sleeping mother. I absolutely loved that moment and that actually inspired me a lot to continue my photography journey on the streets basically. Though I am not a proper street photographer, I love to freeze candid moments and explain them in my own way. Let's discuss my perspective about this particular picture. I have named this picture “MOHONA " First let me explain what the title means. “Mohona” means confluence of rivers in Bengali. Now the obvious question, why name it so? You see this shot has its own beauty hidden in its meaning. The old carrying the new, the new relying on the old and somewhere a balance of love is prevailing. Isn't that what the universe should be? Love worthy? Where old gives way to New and the New respects the old. In my experience I have seen the new getting deprived in hands of old orthodoxy and the helpless old getting tortured by the young. This cycle is historical and hysterical too. So let this snap remind us, that the balance needs to maintained... That we are social beings incapable of surving with only one community.
