Description

Nestled in the picturesque town of Isny im Allgäu, the Pfarrkirche St. Georg und Jakobus, originally known as St. Georg und Jakobus, stands as a testament to the rich history and architectural splendor of this region in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This former Benedictine abbey church, now a Catholic parish church, is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, adorned with exquisite Rococo interiors that captivate visitors from around the globe. Standing adjacent to what is now a castle, the Pfarrkirche St. Georg und Jakobus is a three-nave hall church, its exterior marked by simplicity with pilasters and cornice bands. However, the true marvel lies within. The interior is a dazzling display of Rococo artistry, where every inch is adorned with high-quality stucco and frescoes, showcasing the craftsmanship of the renowned Wessobrunn School.
