Description

It's the kiwi hours and I'm feeling introspective. These bouts are where I've found my greatest muses, like whispers between memories long forgotten sharing treasures of wisdom long unforseen. Yet, now I'm face to face with a thought arena I've engaged with many times, in many expressions, always thinking I've reached a higher understanding of it only to find, with time, I am humbled again with reflection. Of all the aspects of life I've studied and experienced, the predominant study has been love. In my country, it is just one word and we use it many ways to express sincere feelings. Such vagueity, being just one word, with so many contexts and often hidden meanings. In this moment, and an attempt of higher understanding, I recognize the purest form of love to be gratitude. For all things, people, places and wonders in life, I am so very grateful. I heard once that saying I love you stems from a fear of living without that entity, and so when I say I appreciate you, please know I recognize you, your presence, your being and I am grateful.
