Description

A coordinate system or "gizmo" is the basic principle of orientation in digital space. Since NFTs exist only in a digital dimesion, the core element of a spatial work always consists of the three axes X, Y and Z. The gizmo rotates weightlessly around itself to illustrate the arbitrary nature of digital orientation. After growing up in Switzerland, Sebastian Quast moved to Germany to initially study art and multimedia and is now studying fine art at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich with media artist Peter Kogler. He is interested in the hybrid intersection of physical and virtual worlds and the transitions from one to the other. He combines haptic surface fetishism with questions of accessibility and the future possibilities of digital content. His main goal is to bring people together.
