Secret Lives of Vulcans 073 - T'Kakky and Diarat choose unwisely for movie night It was T'Kakky's and Diarat's turn to choose the movies for their monthly double feature gathering at Solvyk's house. Spajalk had warned Solvyk that to have both T'Kakky and Diarat choosing the movies would be a grand error as they are both masochistically (and therefore illogically) interested in the more esoteric cinema of 20th century Earth. Solvyk now regrets having waved off Spajalk's warnings as unfounded and overly catastrophizing. True to form, T'Kakky and Diarat chose "Metropolis" (Fritz Lang, German expressionist, 1927, the restored version, 148 minutes) followed by "Stalker" (Andrei Tarkovsky, Russian, 1979, 163 minutes). As the Vulcan sun, 40 Eridani A, slowly rises over the horizon both Spajalk and Solvyk fight to maintain wakefulness during the maddingly confusing last minutes of "Stalker".
