Description

This 2024 remix of 6.26.27.86_v01 was arrived at by simply stitching in the image of the young woman from version 1 into a second 1991 variant of the same composition. This differs from version 1 by virtue of the geodesic sphere being rendered mostly in wireframe and there is a smaller sphere nesting inside it. The head and face of the man drinking wine are modulated and somewhat monstrous in their appearance compared to the rendering of version 1. Another difference here is that the table setting has been left intact. It appears just how it did in the original source photograph. Here again we see a picture assembled as a hybrid of 3D computer modeling and digital photography techniques. In the 1980s, personal computer software that could facilitate such a synthesis, was still relatively new. Acevedo made good use of it as he further developed his pictorial style of a kind of “geometrical surrealism.” Digital image: JPG file format, 2706 x 2160 pixels
