Description

Action movies with Chuck Norris were a staple of my childhood. Russian and Belarusian TV channels force-fed us this patriarchal, hypermasculine trash. My dad loved the mindless "pew-pew, wham-fucking-bam" of it all, but even back then, I despised the toxic fixation on being a "real man" who solves every problem with his fists and a gun. As I grew older and got political, I discovered the reality behind the screen: Norris’s far-right activism, his blatant homophobia (directed at people like me!), his caveman creationism, and his blind devotion to MAGA. He, along with other '90s TV idols like Steven Seagal and Mel Gibson, served as the cult ministers of an imperialist era, using their fame to push the world rightward and normalize bigotry. Chuck Norris died on March 19, 2026. I won’t pretend to mourn him. He might not have been a dictator, but he was a willing poster boy for the far-right, packaging ignorance into mass entertainment. Let him go down in history exactly as he was: just another shit human being and a fading relic of a hateful era we are desperately trying to outgrow.
