Description

This painting is a combination of the sky from two famous paintings from notable painters. As you notice, the orange sky is taken from Edvard Munch's astonishing work the Scream, and the depths of the sea are taken from The Starry Night of Van Gogh. My interest about the art used in these incredible works made me to paint them in a single painting. Besides, the contrast between warm and cold colors in the conbination of two paintings is almost my work's concept. The woman in red hair represents a life-giving spirit which try to give life again to the scared man who looks like a lifeless statue and is drowning. Because of this I have named my work "Warming of the Soul". I try to exhibit this by mixing warm and cold colors. This is a pencil color work
