Anyone who has faced a path of self-acceptance of their sexuality / gender identity knows the pain, the anger, the sense of inadequacy, loss and repudiation towards ourself and the world around us, which we must have to fight before we can finally look with a smile at any mirror, able to love ourself again. Certainly he/she 'll know the anguish of having to live with crowd's comments and looks that do not find a definition except for a "gray space" between curiosity, hatred, disgust and indignation, he/she will surely know the fear in knowing that there is always the slightest possibility of ending up a victim of a hate crime, I personally am a witness of the aforementioned feelings, aware that there will always be someone ready to judge others, but I did not expect to see the legitimacy of my existence as a queer person, being questioned, nor to be pointed out as a kind of "deviant exterminator", by an artist, a colleague, someone who, to clarify, defines himself as the cornerstone of a "new left" (whatever that means); yet according to some the existence, son of the evil one, of an LGBTQIA+ lobby, whose sole purpose is to exterminate the white cis men from the face of the earth, is an indisputable reality.
