All of us, as human beings, must face grief at some point. An immense pain that drowns and immobilizes you. As soon as we are born we live our first grief and we cry when we lose the comfort of the mother's womb. We come to this world losing and we leave this world losing (life). A death, a love and a person you have to let go forever, a dream you have to give up. Grief is the process by which a person adjusts to the physical absence of someone with whom they continue to have a psychological or spiritual relationship. A painful battle that someone who has lost something they love has to fight. As we grow we lose things. But at some point the fatality of love crosses your path and at this point life and losses become interesting. Here you begin to realize what really hurts to lose. Will this sadness ever pass? Will I ever get my vital energy back? Because at that moment you are invaded by darkness and death. There is no way to truly prepare for these kinds of losses. No one can understand your pain no matter how much they try to put themselves in your place. Your pain may even sound silly to others and everyone has a magical solution for you. The physical symptoms of grief can include: Fatigue, Headaches, Sleep problems, Physical weakness, Digestive problems, Changes in appetite, Frequent bouts of illness, Muscle tension or soreness. And you can feel: Guilt, Anger Anxiety, Irritability, Sadness, Loneliness, Numbness, Detachment. Grief is a process that takes time. A time that begins when you lose something you love: a job, a loved one, youth. It doesn't matter what. There you begin to go through different stages: 1- Shock and denial, 2- Pain and guilt. 3- Anger and bargaining, 4- Depression, 5- The upward turn, 6-Reconstruction and working through, 7- Acceptance and hope. But I have good news for you: grief is “not a state, but rather a process.” At one point you think those dark emotions will never go away, but naturally the mind will begin to see the light.
