3401 x 4570 px 300 DPI This acrylic painting is inspired by the thinking state, a conscious process that uses the brain to create thoughts, memories, emotions, and behaviors. The collection was painted when I was in an art residence. I created first 4 acrylic paintings inspired by the 4 States of Mind, then those paintings were over painted by a second artist and finally a third artist cut the paintings. It was some kind of collaborative performance. The paintings of this collection were the beginning of that performance and today they only exist here, there no physicals, they were destroyed. I also made a short video were I show how did the paintings look at the beginning, at the middle when they were over painted and at the end when finally they were cut. The video is also a personal protest, cause the paintings were not expected to have so many cuts, the idea was to preserve the work and style of the three artists, not destroying it. However the result of this video made my happy so I wanted to share it with everybody. The music has three different moments starting with some kind of quiet lullaby until a horrible and creepy sound in the end in order to show the way I felt when my paintings ended like that.
