Description

Although it may not look like it, this is in fact my holiday themed piece. It's kind of my answer to the increasingly strangeness I've felt of Christmas being celebrated in Japan. Unlike our neighbor Korea, Christianity isn't particularly popular here, so for most of us non-Christians it's just a superficial holiday without too much meaning behind it. I thought it was time we gave this holiday a new name and new image. Christmas would be pronounced KU-RI-SU-MA-SU, so I rearranged the letters to spell MA-SU-KU RI-SU which would mean Masked squirrel. MA-SU-KU = mask and RI-SU = squirrel. This is an image I can get behind more than a strange old man in a red suit. 5453 × 5270 px
