Even though this is a portrait of flowers, every time I look at it I have a craving for a fruity soft drink. I am reminded of elementary school days and sorting my peers into cohorts based on whether orange or grape soda was the best flavor: "are you citrus person or a berry person"? But if we step back and take a wider view, we can see that there are not really only two choices, and pledging allegiance to one thing can make us blind to the value and beauty in the things we are excluding ourselves from.
