Description
The conceptual approach of this work, entitled "Constructing the Architecture of a Simple Meal with Likelihood," is part of a resolutely contemporary and universal outlook. By reinterpreting Van Gogh's "Peasant Woman Eating," my approach is a dialogue with the master's legacy while breathing new life into it through subrealist abstraction and mixed media. This fusion of the human, the tangible, and the digital creates a work that is both organic and thoughtful, going beyond simple reproduction to elevate itself to the level of philosophical allegory.
Visually and technically, the superimposition of the original painting with layers of acrylic, digital elements, and a minimalist cardboard-wood architectural structure emphasizes the importance of materiality while evoking the infinite universe of the virtual. The three-dimensionality achieved without the use of traditional 3D tools serves to maintain an intuitive, organic, and resolutely human dimension. The result is an immersive experience where the viewer senses the tension between apparent chaos—a symphony of disparate elements—and the harmony resulting from a subtly constructed order.
Philosophically, the work revolves around the idea that just as we construct our diet, we also develop the structure of our lives.
